SLEMAN – A total of 10 graduates received the award of Cendekia Work at the UPNVY Graduation for the 1st period FY 2017/2018, Saturday (14/10/2017). Scholar's work is an award given to students with academic achievement, graduation in short time, achievement off-campus, and active in organizational and social activities. This award has been going on for about 17 years and is given to students every graduation period.
The award-winning committee selected 635 graduates by comparing the various components of the assessment.
The Rector of UPNYK, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sari Bahagiarti K, M.Sc. herself gave the Cendekia Award at the graduation ceremony to the recipients of the award. She congratulated the award winners and advised them not only to be good at academics, but also must get soft skills during the study in college.
"Thus you will be a value-added scholar to support career paths after a community and employment placement," Rector said during an interview at his office.
Eko Hardiyanto from the Mining Engineering Program, Faculty of Mineral Technology with total score of 914 became the first winner of the award, followed by Berlit Deddy Setiawan from International Relations Department, FISIP with 804, and Fegista Dwi Silia Maruru from Environmental Engineering Program with 772 score.
All three were entitled to receive prizes of savings and other prizes presented by UPNVY's partners.
