SLEMAN - To improve negotiation skills, Student Executive Board (BEM) of Faculty of Industrial Engineering held Advocacy School for two days, Saturday-Sunday (7-8 / 10) in Pattimura III Room, UPN Campus Tambakbayan.
Presented as a resourcer, Moris Tumpal Situmorang in his presentation conveyed that negotiation was a process to reach agreement by minimizing the difference. Negotiations can develop a common ground for achieving mutually beneficial goals. Good negotiations, says Moris, can lead to increased openness to information, trust, and long-term relationships.
"Such a good negotiation will result in openness in sharing information, trust between one another, and a long-term relationship between one party and another. That is, because each party feels equally win and is equally profitable from the outcome of the negotiations," said Moris in front of the participants.
Moris further said that the negotiations required skills of good communication. Good communication means the technique of asking or digging information, listening, and recording what is being said.
"In negotiations, someone who negotiates must have negotiation skills, that is to be able to communicate well, have sensitivity to the feelings of others, can appreciate others, can make summaries, and can control the time well," he concluded the training. (BMW-fti)
