SLEMAN - A total of 65 students of grade XII SMA Assalam Pondok Pesantren Modern Sukoharjo, Surakarta conducted a campus study  at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY), Monday (30/10). This activity was conducted to introduce students directly to the activities of higher education.

The Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Planning, and Cooperation (KPKS) Faculty of Industrial Engineering Ir. Mahreni, M.T., Ph.D. at the Public Relations Laboratory, UPN Campus Tambakbayan welcomed them.

Assalam High School Representative Teacher, Rahayu, S.Si. said this activity aimed to introduce the campus directly to the students in order to have a picture of determining the choice to continue the study.

"In order to have better understand the world of higher education, we want to know the majors information  in the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and materials that must be mastered, and prospects in the world of work. So in the future the students do not make wrong decision in choosing the majors,"said Rahayu.

On the same occasion, Vice Dean of KPKS of Industrial Engineering Faculty Ir. Mahreni, M.T., Ph.D., said that this activity was expected to provide insight to the students in order to have an overview of the course or course chosen to continue their studies to universities.

Furthermore, Mahreni said that this activity could improve the cooperative relationship between UPNVY and schools. (BMW-fti)
