Ir. Lukito Edi Nugroho, M.Sc., Ph.D., who attended as a speaker delivered SAPTO as a new system used by National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT) in managing accreditation.
"With SAPTO, there are no more lecturers or staff from universities who bother to come to BAN-PT just to bring and submit the Accreditation Form only," explained Lukito.
Furthermore, lecturer of UGM Electrical Engineering Science Program Yogyakarta said
SAPTO supported every process undertaken in accreditation, such as submission of accreditation proposal by university, examination of documents, assignor assignments and validation conducted, and assessment process of adequacy and assessment of the field by assessors.
In the implementation of accreditation with SAPTO, he explained, nothing has changed. The difference SAPTO only automates some of the process through online methods.
Previously, registration or submission of accreditation form files to BAN-PT was done manually. Whereas after SAPTO, registration can be done online. The assessment process, the skills, and field assessment are still the same.
SAPTO's superiority is to increase productivity, more colleges or study programs that can be accredited at one particular period, and the assessor can do more conducting the assessment.
In addition, SAPTO implementation can improve accountability and accuracy of assessments. and save costs (BMW-fti)
