MAKASSAR, RAKYATSULSEL.COM - Universitas Pejuang RI Makassar continues to perform various development and new breakthrough in improving academic quality. One of the efforts is to establish cooperation with UPN Veteran Yogyakarta on November 13, 2017, then.

Rector of Universitas Pejuang RI Makassar Dr. Hj. Andi Niniek F. Lantara, SE., MS, and her group namely Vice Rector I Academic Midwife, Vice Dean II at Faculty of Engineering Universitas Pejuang RI Makassar, and Chairman of Prodi Mining Engineering visited UPN Veteran Yogyakarta.

The presence of this group was welcomed by the Rector of UPN Veteran Yogyakarta Prof. Dr. Ir. Sari Bahagiarti K, M. Sc. who was accompanied by Vice Dean I and Vice Rector III UPN, Dean of Faculty of Mineral Technology, and Head of Environmental Engineering Department and Head of Community Relationship UPN.

"UPN Rector welcomes this cooperation plan with the goal of mutual support to improve the quality of each institution". Andi Niniek revealed, Friday (17/11)

Andi Niniek Lantara added that the Rector of UPN Veteran Yogyakarta offered the scope of cooperation not only related to Tridharma Perguruan Tunggi, but also in the state defense, considering the Veteran University of Makassar which changed its name to Universitas Pejuang RI Makassar and UPN Veteran Yogyakarta has historical ties as a university institution which was founded by the independence fighters of RI.

"I strongly agree with the proposal of this cooperation.  Universitas Pejuang RI Makassar itself has also formed Center for Study of Pancasila and State Defense", he said.

Both leaders of this college agreed to share resource sharing, and MoU and MoA plans will be signed together on the campus of Universitas Pejuang RI Makassar in the near future. Areas to be collaborated include research cooperation, journal writing, community service, lecturer exchange, student engagement, joint laboratory, state defense and study program development. (*)
