SLEMAN - Since becoming a State University, UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) is required to continue to clean up, one of them through public relations publication. For that Sub-Section of Cooperation and Public Relations, UPNVY held a Workshop on Writing Journalism held on Monday, 20 November 2017 at the Faculty of Agriculture UPN Condong Catur Campus.

Head of Cooperation and Public Relations of UPNVY, Marcus Kusnardijanto said the writing training attended by about 30 educational staffs of faculty and faculty representatives at UPNVY was aimed to increase human resource capacity in the field of public relations. Markus said  the participants would play a contributor to public relations.

"Personnel in public relations is very limited, a lot of news that is not exposed on the web UPN. We hope you here can be an extension of our hand to expose the activities in Prodi and in the faculty, " he opened the event.

Presented as a speaker in this training was the Executive Editor of Harian Jogja (Harjo), Nugroho Nurcahyo. The man who is familiarly called Popon presented the basic materials of journalistic writing to the participants.

In addition to journalistic material, Popon also gave tips and tricks to write the release well and can be accepted by the media.

According to Popon, mistakes are often made by the PR in writing a release that is not the focus of writing and inclusion of attribution or source of quotation. He hopes after this training UPNVY web publications and ratings will increase. (dewi/humas)
