SLEMAN (KRjogja.com) - Hundreds of alumni of the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) UPN Veteran Yogyakarta gathered at the local campus auditorium on Saturday (10/12/2016). They carried out a grand reunion as well as an annual deliberation to elect the five-year alumni associate leader.

The Chairman of the Alumni Association of UPN Faculty of Agriculture, Mursupriyani Amba, said the reunion had a purpose to collect as many as alumni Faperta UPN Veteran in various parts of Indonesia. It was expected that there would be a stronger bond in order to advance the agricultural climate to support food self-sufficiency in Indonesia.

"Many things we want to work on, especially there are a lot of UPN Agriculture graduates success in various fields. We want to re-synergize the alumni to concern on how to develop agricultural climate in Indonesia in relation to realize the food self-sufficiency and promote the economy," she said.

Form of synergy will be one of the cooperations with the campus to develop agricultural creations. "The more creativity, the more interest, many youngers of potential students to be invited," she added.

Faperta UPN Veteran's big reunion itself had a social service agenda in  Imogiri area on Sunday (11/12/2016). A total of 1,000 plant seeds were distributed to community members who are now trying to form marqisa fruit processing business. (Fxh)
