SLEMAN - UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) strengthens the cooperation with the Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) Philippines. The cooperation of both parties is strengthened by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding or MoU conducted at the UPNVY Condongcatur Campus on Thursday (14/12/2017).
Rector UPNVY, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sari Bahagiarti, M. Sc, said that Indonesia and the Philippines had similar cultural and geographical backgrounds, the cooperation was expected to improve the quality of both parties.
"We hope we can have the cooperation in the field of research, student exchange, and journal sharing," said Rector.
In addition, the Rector conveyed the willingness of UPNVY to attend the "Planning Workshop" held by SKSU in April 2018.
The signing of this MoU was attended by SKSU delegates, namely President Dr.Rolando F Hechanova, Vice President of Development Sector. Mary Lynn Magbanua, Vice President of Generation and Entrepreneurship Resources Dr Dr Jesusa Ortuoste, and Dr. Ruby Hechanova.
President SKSU, Dr. Ruby Hechanova said the cooperation with universities in Indonesia had been implemented since long, for that he hoped the MoU with UPNVY could strengthen the existing cooperation relationship.
"After this we have to sit together to follow up, map out and implement the cooperation. This kind of cooperation is really proven to be run, "he said.
On this occasion, UPNVY - SKSU discussed many possibilities to pour more concrete cooperation in cooperation agreements in several fields. (wwj / humas)
