SLEMAN - A total of 429 heads of SMA / MA / SMK in Yogyakarta attended the socialization of the National Selection of State Universities (SNMPTN) and Joint Selection of State Universities (SBMPTN) in 2018 held at the Yogyakarta State University Auditorium (UNY) on Tuesday (16 / 1/2018).

This socialization was held in cooperation with Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, dan Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta

Presented to open the event Rector of UNY, Prof. Sutrisna Wibawa in her speech said SNMPTN and SBMPTN was a form of government responsibility to improve the quality of Indonesian education. She  appealed to the schools to be careful in entering PDSS data.

"The choice of course shows priority. So, preferably when students are later accepted in SNMPTN, have the choice. There are consequences for schools whose students do not take the courses when they have been declared accepted in SNMPT, "explained Sutrisna.

Sutrisna added the quota of two selection lines has been determined by the central committee of SNMPTN at least 30%, SBMPTN minimum 30%, and SM maximum 30%.

The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs UPNVY, Dr. Irhas Effendi who also attended the socialization said it provided a quota of 35% for SNMPTN, 35% for SBMPTN, and a maximum of 30% for SM.

The Management Lecturer, Faculty of Economics and Business, said UPNVY together with four other universities were ready to provide assistance to schools in DIY.

On this occasion UPNVY lined up to be a school escort in Gunung Kidul. In this socialization, two main subjects, namely SNMPTN General Policy - SBMPTN and PDSS Filling Guidance. (wwj / humas)
