SLEMAN - A total of 200 students of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) and Universitas Pertahanan (Uhan) attended the Joint seminat of State Defense at Seminar Room, Faculty of Mineral Technology, UPN Condong Catur Campus, Tuesday (27/02/2018).

UPNVY Rector, Prof. Sari Bahagiarti K, MSc in her speech at a seminar organized by UPNVY and Kemhan cooperation, said that this activity was expected to be continued with research and community service.

Sari explained UPNVY would have the State defending value in all aspects of the college Tri Dharma.

"We have it in several courses of State defendants, widya matyasa, citizenship, KKN State defend, sports, religion, etc. We also have it in the working program of UPN ", Sari explained.

On the same occasion, the Vice Rector II of Unhan, Laksda TNI. Dr. Ir. Suparyono, MM who attended the seminar representing the Rector delivered that a similar seminar was also held in four other areas in Indonesia, namely Surabaya, Lampung and Palembang.

The seminar, Suparyono said, provided knowledge for the students on how to behave and work in order to realize a sense of security and peace in Indonesia.

Suparyono asked for not narrowly interpreted the meaning of defending the state. The State Defense should be widely understood in order to be implemented by the community according to their respective capacities. Universities also have an important role in educating students to prepare the future generations.
