SLEMAN - PORTION (Presenter Workshop and Competition) was successfully held for two days at the UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) KOIN Laboratory from 21 to 22 April 2018 at Campus II UPN, Tambakbayan. The three speakers presented were Christian Aditya Yuda as news anchor Jogja TV, Endah Nawangsari as presenter and TVRI Jogja reporter, and Prayudi, SIP, MA, Phd as a lecturer of public relations UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta.

The event which was created and organized by a group of UPNVY Communication Science students was aimed as a forum for sharing knowledge and a forum for high school / vocational high school students in Yogyakarta who want to develop their talents and interests in the world of presenters.

"Initially, we had a research in advance of the time of  the last presenter competition in Yogyakarta. Apparently, the results showed that it  has been last few years that no one organized it,  so we decided to make this event. Moreover, the world of presenters is also very closely related to the concentration we are working on that is public relations. "Said Paulinus Tri Hari Saputra as the chairman of PORTION, Sunday (22/04/2018).

Through the event that carried the theme of "Empowering Your Humanity", Puji Lestari, DR. M.Si as a lecturer of Marketing Public Relations also announced the opening of public relations study program at UPNVY.

"We hope that the SMA / SMK students can have the science of public speaking given home. Then, please also note that this year Communication Science UPN Yogyakarta officially opened a new study program that is public relations. See you in the new student admission, "he explained when delivering a speech in front of the participants who are high school students.

The participants admitted very enthusiastic and satisfied to join the whole series of events. They were deeply hoping that the PORTION event could be held back next year.

"The show is cool and the committee is cool. Anyway, it’s really good. Due to the follow-up of this event, I chose Communication Science UPN become one of the options for SBMPTN registration.
