YOGYAKARTA, (suaraindonesia.co.id) - Raden Ajeng (R.A)  Kartini managed to put the women today to be able to have equal posiiton to the men  in social, educational, career to political field.

Rector of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional (UPN) Veteran Yogyakarta, Sari Bahagiarti Kusumayudha said Indonesian women can play outside the household or have a career in various fields, such as education, research, social-society, politics, business and engineering.

Sari Bahagiarti added women are  often  inspirators and motivators of development actors. Even women also act as a transition in agriculture.

"Women directly or indirectly have a great contribution to the development of the nation but they are still a resource that has not been utilized optimally" added the wife of Commissioner JogjaTV in the Discussion of National Association of Paguyuban Wartawan Sepuh (PWS) Yogyakarta at Sriwedari Hotel, Monday (23/4) ).

According to Sari, men and women are as wings of a bird, if the two wings are as strong, then  they fly the bird to the highest peak.

"But if one of the two wings is broken it cannot fly the bird at all" she concluded.
