SLEMAN - It is not  an uncommon thing to encounter that most  people   always photograph their food before being eaten and upload it to social media. The art of photographing food or food photography is now one part of the genre of photography and lifestyle. It is  not only about the sharpness of photographs and composition, but also the production of  images and of course  the taste.

The appearance of food is one of the indicators that makes the potential lovers be interested. However, the photo uploader must also provide health information on the food.

The student of Communication Science UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) realized it in the activity of Capture Our Creativity (COC). This activity is a photography workshop with the theme of "Let Your Food Speak" which was held in Mezzanine Eastery & Coffe, Jl. Palagan Student Army on Sunday (22/04/2018).

"This activity discusses that the food object is not only considered beautifully and aesthetically uploaded, but it also can communicate the message that healthy food is important," said Nabilla Veneshya, one of the COC committee on Press Release, Tuesday (24/4/2018).

This event also discussed the product photography techniques and copy writing. At the end of the event, the participants who were mostly high school students, photography community, food blogger and the general public were invited to practice directly by the resource persons who are lecturers of Communication Science UPNVY.

The results of this workshop was donated to poor communities around TPA Piyungan by sharing food with the Community Sharing of Nasi Pagi Yogyakarta. (wwj / humas)
