SLEMAN - Dojang UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) won the third place by earning 3 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze at Kejurda Yongmoodo danrem 072 / PMK Cup which took place at Grha Wanabakti Yasa Yogyakarta, 21-22 April 2018. At this champion, the  General Champion was achieved by Dojang Kodim 0734 Yogyakarta with the acquisition of 3 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze while the Runner-up was Dojang Kodim 0729 / Bantul with 4 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze.

Kukuh in 65 kg men's class, Remigius Soge in plus 90 kg men's class, and men's team won the Gold Medal of Dojang UPNVY, while Iqbal in 65 kg men's class, and Maya  in plus 65 kg female class won the silver medals. Then,  Dina in minus 55 kg class, and Ayu R in  plus 65 kg class won the bronze medals.

"Not all athletes in this dojang are UPN students. We accept students from any background, "said one of the team coach from Dojang UPNVY, Prijoto, Wednesday (25/04/2018).

Projoto said his participation in this championship was also a moment to forge mental athletes.

"After last Porda in Bantul, this event gives us the motivation to continue the practice and achievement," said the UPNVY lecturer.

Kejurda which was first held in DIY was followed by 94 civil (nonmilitary) athletes from 8 dojang, namely Dojang Kodim 0729 Bantul, Kodim 0730 Gunungkidul, Kodim 0731 Kulonprogo, Kodim 0734 Yogyakarta, Dojang Kikav 2 / JRTR, Dojang UTY, Dojang UPN and Dojang ITY. (wwj / humas)
