SLEMAN - In 2018, UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) opened two new study programs namely Public Relations and Geomatics Engineering. PR program has already been able to be selected on the National Selection Entrance of State Universities (SNMPTN) and Public Selection Entrance of State Universities (SBMPTN). meanwhile the new Geomatics Engineering can be selected at the admission of new students through  Independent Selection on May 21 - July 6, 2018.

UPNVY has been known in the field of geology, minerals and energy so that the competence of Geomatics Engineering courses directed in order to support these advantages.

The superiority of Geomatic Engineering of UPN is to develop pioneer candidates of development, namely Bachelor of Geomatics Engineering which controls geospatial information management to support geological, mineral and environmental exploration based on the spirit of the state defending spirit.

Geomatics Engineering appears in the context of integration of several professions or disciplines that are interconnected with the field of computerized geo-information. Therefore, Geomatic Engineering is known as Geodesy and Informatics, " he said.

Joko explained to the Geomatics study program students that they will learn about the mapping, digital modeling, digital image processing, aerial photography, satellite geodesy and get field lectures.
