SLEMAN - UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) is currently going to start the stage of rector candidate selection of 2018-2022 period. The Prospective Rector Candidates must meet 13 requirements such as educated doctor, drug free, and never be in a imprisonment.

The information about the selection process of UPVY Rector was submitted by the Senate Chairman of UPNVY, Prof.Dr.Ir.Sutanto., DEA at the Socialization and Press Conference of Rector Candidates for the period of 2018-2022, at FTM Seminar Room, UPN Condong Catur, Monday (28/5) / 2018).

"This election is the first since UPN became PTN, the former Rector was elected and inaugurated by the Minister," he said.

According to Susanta, the rector selection process at UPNVY has been consulted to the Legal and Organization Bureau of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) in Jakarta, followed by a senate meeting for the stipulation of the rules and committees on 27 February 2018.

Furthermore, Sutanto said the determination of the order issued by the UPNVY Senate does not add or subtract the paragraph or article on Permenristekdikti No.19 of 2017.

Drs. Ir. Ramli Sitanggang., MT and secretary Dr. Hendro Widjanarko chaired the Rector's election committee.

On this occasion, Ramli socialized that the prospective applicantion will be held on May 14 - June 8, 2018.

"If the participants are less than 4 people then it will be extended and reopened on 25 June - 5 July. Meanwhile, the administration selection will be on June 25 to 26, the determination of the rector candidates by the Senate will be on July 9, and the announcement of the rector candidates by senate will be on July 16, "said Ramly.

The delivery of vision and mission, as well as work program of the prospective rector candidates will be conducted on 10 - 13 August 2018. On the same day, it will be also conducted an assessment and determination of three rector candidates by the senate in a closed senate meeting.

Then, the senate submits three rector candidates to the Minister of Research and Technology on August 14th.

The next process is a closed senate session with the agenda of UPNVY Rector setting on 17 - 29 Sepetember 2018.

Ramli said there were 18 people at UPNVY who fulfill the administrative requirements.
