Sleman – Rector of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, Prof. Sari Bahagiarti K, M.Sc officially released the real working lecture (KKN) students, Friday (29.06.2018).

The Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) released the students of Real Work Lecture (KKN) of 65th  batch, 2017/2018, consisting of Regular KKN and Thematic KKN with a total of  2,017 students,  precisely at 08.00 am in the field of Condongcatur , Central Campus.

The Rector of UPNVY Prof. Sari Bahagiarti K, Mc, herself released the KKN and said that KKN of 2017/2018 batch 65 would be held for one full month ie on 29 June to 29 July, 2018.

Rector of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta said that as long as the students perform KKN,  they are not given dispensation to leave the location, to follow lecture activities, practicum, thesis supervision and other academic activities, because the implementation of KKN activities should not be disturbed by the academic activities conducted on the campus. KKN is a form of community service, not only a field lecture, so that the programs and activities that will be implemented do not have to be in accordance with the students’ majors. KKN is implemented to build the student empathy for the problems that occur in society.

"Hopefully the experience you gain during the Real Work Lecture (KKN) can make you wiser to understand the problems that exist in the community, if you become a leader, you have to be able to make decisions on the favor of the community".

Also present are Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance, Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Head of LP3M Institution, Head of LP2M Institution, Bureau and lecturer of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta also attended the release. (Dewi / Humas)
