SLEMAN - The feeling of emotion and happiness were revealed by Anti Khusnul Farida when she was contacted by Public Relation of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) via a short message application on Wednesday (4/7/2018). She is one of the 1214 participants who passed the SBMPTN selection at UPNVY.
It was not easy for her to qualify as a prospective student of Mining Engineering Program, Faculty of Mineral Technology of UPNVY, since this department is a favorite and is known for its high rate of selection.
Brn in Cilacap, April 19, 2000, she said in addition to her love to natural science, her teacher at Madrasah Aliyah El Bayan Cilacap directed and encouraged her so far to choose this study program.
During the high school, she was also active in several organizations both intra and extra, and had served as chairman of OSIS.
This third child of 4 brothers of Fathurrohim and Sangidah couples always got the first rank every semester for the academic field. She was a school representative in science olympiad activities and KSM in Physics.
Despite having a brilliant academic performance, admitted Anti, initially she hesitated to continue to college. As a farmer child, it was impossible for her to be a student.
"I nearly gave up because many people said that the college tuition fee would be expensive, then the cost of living is also expensive. However, I try to convince myself, be optimistic to fight first, " she said.
Realizing of the condition of her family, Anti registered SBMPTN through Bidikmisi participants. She hoped Bidikmisi could be a way out of her tuition.
"My parents always support me, but I realize without Bidikmisi it seems too difficult," she said.
Anti is preparing the re-registration documents and preparing to become a prospective student.
"Now I have to focus on using time for college and can make my family be proud of me." she concluded. (wwj / publicist)
