SLEMAN - UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) is exploring a cooperation with the Brebes Regency Government to develop agricultural potential in the district.

The planning ofthe cooperation was discussed at a meeting of the Deputy Dean of Student, Planning, and Cooperation (KPKS) Faculty of Industrial Engineering UPNVY, Ir. Mahreni, M.T., Ph.D. with the Head of the Brebes Agriculture Service, Ir. Yulia Indrawati, M.Sc. in the Head of Office of the Agriculture Office, Thursday (1/17/2018).

Mahreni explained that the collaboration was carried out in order to develop the potential that exists in Brebes Regency.

She explained that the collaboration would be stated in an agreement or Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Chancellor of UPNVY and the Regent Hed of Brebes. As for the implementation, it would be stated more specifically in the Cooperation Agreement between the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, UPNVY and the Agriculture Service of Brebes.

"The planning is that UPNVY wants to build a assisted village in Brebes as a location of research and community service for lecturers and students," Mahreni said.

The Head of the Brebes Agriculture Service, Yulia welcomed the plan and hoped that the potential of Brebes could be optimally developed.

"UPN Veteran Yogyakarta is one of the higher education institutions that has superior human resources. We hope that it can help to optimize the potential in Brebes Regency, "Yulia said. (BMW-FTI)
