PERMANENT Betadev won the first place in the 2019 Hackathon weather application competition Hackbdgweather which was announced on Thursday (1/24) night in Bandung. The competition is a competition for making weather applications which will be developed by the City Government of Bandung and the West Java Provincial Government.
Permanent Betadev created the Seedplan application, a recommended application for farming. Three students from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering majoring in Informatics Engineering UPN Veteran Yogyakarta outperformed the other 14 teams in the competition held on January 22-24.
Of the 38 participants, 15 teams got into the next selection and then presented their ideas in front of the judges. As a result, there were three winners in the 2019 Hackathon.
After the Seedplan application, the second winner went to NaviCuaca who made the application use Google Maps with the weather. The Navi Team This weather is a combination of students from three universities, namely Gunadarma, UGM and IPB.
While the third winner is NiteLogin which issued an application called Kusmana Traffic Congestion Control System based on Wheater. It is a monitoring of planting planning applications. The NiteLogin Team is three students of the UGM Faculty of Engineering.
This competition was organized by PT Cyberindo Aditama (CBN) with PT Mega Akses Persada (FiberStar), which is a CSR program to help the Bandung City Government who has long been running the concept of Smart Cities based on information technology.
Budi Rahardjo, as the jury, said the winner's work would be further developed by the Bandung City Government.
"The results of the winners are further developed by modeling tailored to the needs of the people of Bandung City. We do not rule out the possibility that the work of millennial children can be applied throughout Indonesia," said Budi, who is also an information technology expert.
The event was attended by the Director General of Information and Communication Informatics Applications Samuel Abrijani Pangerapan and representatives of West Java Provincial Government and City Government
Bandung. Samuel said that in the digital era there are great opportunities to create new jobs.

There are thousand scholarships for digital trading that can be used by young people to open employment opportunities.
