Sleman - UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta in collaboration with 5 schools held a Computer Based Writing Exam (UTBK) Preparation Workshop for State Higher Education Entrance (SBMPTN) in 2019. This workshop was held in preparing the UTBK attended by the information technology technicians from 5 schools namely Vocational School N 1 Depok, AAG Adisucipto Vocational School, Muhammadiyah 2 High School Yogyakarta, Vocational School N 5 Yogyakarta, and Vocational School N 6 Yogyakarta. This activity was held at Grand Dafam Rohan, on February 28, 2019.

In his speech the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Ir Suharsono said that he appreciated the workshop activities. In addition, he hoped that this collaboration could be increased to serve students who are the future successors of the nation.

"Before the UTBK test which will take place on April 13 - May 26, 2019, there will be a UTBK test test throughout Indonesia on March 9, 2019. I hope that the UTBK SBMPTN 2019 can run smoothly.

As the committee, Dr. Hendro Widjanarko, SE, MM said the first batch registration of the Computer Based Test (UTBK) as a requirement to take part in the  SBMPTN 2019 will begin Friday on March 1, 2019 until Sunday March 24, 2019. Registration is done online at the https: // registration-utbk page. sbmptn.ac.id.

Hendro said that  based on the information from the official website of the LTMPT that the first batch of UTBK SBMPTN registration will be on March 1 at 10.00 WIB to March 24 at 11:59 p.m. WIB. Meanwhile, the second batch registration will be held on March 25 - April 1 2019.

"To take part in the SBMPTN, participants must attend UTBK. The mark of the  UTBK results will be used to register on the SBMPTN, " he added.

This management lecturer added that the SBMPTN 2019 has only one test method, namely Computer Based Writing Test (UTBK) with two test materials, namely Scholastic Potential Tests and Academic Competency Tests. The PTN entry scheme in 2019 will still be implemented through three paths, namely the SNMPTN, SBMPTN and Independent Selection, with each SNMPTN carrying capacity of at least 20%, SBMPTN minimum 40% and Independent Selection maximum 30% of the capacity quota of each study program at PTN. The participants of the State University Entrance Entrance Test 2019 can take up to twice for the UTBK, by paying UTBK registration fees of 200,000 rupiahs on each test. They can use the highest score in registering the desired study program of  UTBK that they take twice.

On this occasion, the management lecturer informed about the quota of prospective students who will be accepted from the SNMPTN, SBMPTN and UPNVY Independent Selection. UPNVY receives 20% of SNMPTN, 50% of SBMPTN and 30% of Independent Selection. UPNVY provides 21 study programs with a total quota of 3,180 students. The estimated number of UPNVY SNMPTN seats is 636 seats, 1591 seats for SBMPTN and Independent Selection are 953 seats.

UPNVY provides a total of 815 computer units to support the implementation of UTBK.
