SLEMAN - The ALE International Relations Team from UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) won third place in the PUBB Mobile Campus Championship (PMCC) 2019. At PMCC 2019 final round which took place at Mal Taman Anggrek Jakarta, Sunday (25/3) night, UPNVY performed consistently by collecting 136 points. It was the end of the hard work of the UPNVY team which has been struggling since last December 2018. The PMCC 2019 Trophy was proof of their seriousness in the world of Esport.
In the inter-university match, the UPNVY team successfully completed each round until the end. Of the 8 rounds passed, the UPNVY won a small point in the first round.
The UPNVY victory at the PMCC 2019 is quite surprising for Esport fans because in a similar competition in 2018, UPNVY only got the sixth place.
PUBG MOBILE is a game developed by Tencent Games and PUBG Corp based on Playerunknown's Battleground (PUBG), a genuine royal battle phenomenon, originating from PC and Xbox One games that brought an excitement in the world of the interactive entertainment in 2017.
This tournament is a form of appreciation for the large interest of the players and to contribute to the development of the e-sport world in Indonesia.
There were 16 of the best teams participated in the final round of the PMCC 2018/2019 as the last year results of the qualification process with a total of 2,000 participants from around 350 universities throughout Indonesia.
All 16 squad competed for the PMCC 2018/2019 title in 8 rounds with FPP mode (first person perspective) and TPP (third person perspective) on two different maps, namely, Erangel and Miramar.
This year 1stwinner was the Amikom Yogyakarta team and the runner-up was Sam Ratulangi's team. The PMCC 2018 prepared a total prize of IDR 300 million. The first winner got a prize of Rp. 30 million, the second winner gotIDR 20 million and the third winner got IDR 10 million.
