Sleman - The selection process for the new students admission of Bachelor Program of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) for the academic year of 2019/2020 follows the nationally determined selection pattern. In addition to the National University Admission (SNMPTN) and State University Admission Joint Selection Test (SBMPTN) pathways, UPNVY also opened a selection pathway for the undergraduate degrees through the Independent Selection (SM) pathway in the school year of 2019.

Markus Kusnardijanto, as the head of the collaboration and public relations, said “the prospective new students who are not luckly registered in the path of the State Higher Education Admission Joint Selection (SBMPTN), don't have to worry, you can register at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta through the Independent Selection path later.

"UPN" Veteran "Yogyakarta is still opening the Independent Selection path. Enrollment is done online, starting from May 21 to July 6, 2019.  The implementation of the Independent Selection exam is on July 21, 2019, the announcement of SM is on July 30, 2019. “For the complete requirements, please monitor its progress on page pmb.upnyk.ac.id or www.upnyk.ac .id”, added Markus.

 The Head of Subdivision of Cooperation and Public Relations added that the location of the UPNVY Independent Selection Exam is held in 7 locations, namely Yogyakarta, Purwokerto, Jakarta, Bontang, Balikpapan, Pekanbaru and Banjarmasin.

Markus added that the registration fee for SM UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta was adjusted to the location of the exam. The participants who want to take the exam in Yogyakarta are charged 300,000 rupiahs; the exam in Purwokerto is 400,000 rupiahs while it is  500,000 rupiahs in Jakarta, Bontang, Balikpapan, Pekanbaru and Banjarmasin.

“On this independent selection path, the participants can only choose science and social groups. The participants of science and technology can choose a science or social science study program. Meanwhile, the participants of the social humaniora department can only choose social humaniora study programs. There is no mixed program in 2019", he said.

Markus added that the cost of Single Tuition (UKT) UPNVY did not increase this year's.

As information, the total capacity of new UPNVY student admissions for the 2019/2020 academic year is 3,180 seats. There are 636 from the National Selection Admission Pathway, 1,591 from the Joint Selection Admission Pathway of State Universities and 953 from the Independent Selection Pathway.
