The FISIP Communication Study Program UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta successfully defended the accredited A title based on the assessment of the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN PT). This result is based on BAN PT Decree Number 1313 / SK / BAN-PT / Accredited / S / V / 2019 dated 7 May 2019.

"Alhamdulillah, this Accreditation of “A” predicate with a value of 379 is a form of acknowledgment as well as public accountability of the entire education process in the Communication Science Study Program”, said the Chairperson of the Department of Communication, Dr. Subhan Afifi, M.Sc.

Subhan Afifi expects that this A Accreditation Predicate will further strengthen the gait of students and graduates of the Communication Studies Program in society and the industrial world.

 "The Accreditation Result of A Predicate is a gift from Allah Ta'ala and a form of hard work and contributions from all stakeholders. It is from the leadership of the university, faculty, department, study program, lecturers and education staff, students and all student organizations, to alumni and user graduates, and we thank all of them”, said Dewi Novianti, M.Sc, and Coordinator of the Communication Studies Program UPN "Veteran" in Yogyakarta.

At present, the Department of Communication UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta has 3 Study Programs, namely: Communication Studies (Bachelor), Public Relations (Bachelor) and Master of Communication Studies (Magister).

The Dean of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, Dr Machya Astuti Dewi, M.Sc, explained that by having A accreditation predicate, it is also expected to strengthen efforts to achieve the vision and mission of study programs, faculties and universities.

"We want to be the best research-based Communication Studies Program at the national level that is globally oriented, with the spirit of defending the country based on the spiritual values, discipline, finance and creativity”. Machya said.

"So far, the Communication Science Study Program is one of the Study Programs which has the highest interest in and enrollment selection at UPN" Veteran "Yogyakarta. We really appreciate the achievements of friends in the Communication Science Study Program", he added.
