PEKANBARU - Registration of the UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta Independent Selection Exam (UPNVY) was officially opened on Tuesday (21/5). UPNVY collaborates with the Riau Cendana Foundation to carry out the test this year.

"We continue to carry out in Pekanbaru as a test location this year because there are quite a lot of applicants from Sumatra”, said Marcus Kusnadidjanto, UPNVY's Head of Cooperation and Public Relations Subdivision, while conducting a survey on preparation for examinations in Pekanbaru.

The exam in Pekanbaru will be held at Pekanbaru Cendana High School in Palm Complex, PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia, Rumbai, Lembah Damai, Rumbai Pesisir, Kota Pekanbaru. The implementation of the independent selection exam will be carried out in writing in accordance with the field competencies of the participants.

There were around 100 participants who registered to take the exam in Pekanbaru in 2018. The hope is, said Marcus, this year the participants' enthusiasm will increase considering that they have carried out the socialization.

The participants can register online through pmb.upnyk.ac.id by paying a registration form of 500,000 rupiahs to take the exam in Pekanbaru. Then, the participants can log in using the user and pin in accordance with the receipt.

Registration for the independent selection exam will take place from May 21 to July 6, 2019, then the written examination will take place on July 21, 2019. The announcement of the selection results will be held on July 30, 2019.

Different from the previous year, the examination was held in 6 cities. While this year , it will be held in 7 cities in Indonesia, namely Yogyakarta, Jakarta, Purwokerto, Bontang, Balikpapan, Pekanbaru and Banjarmasin.

"This year there is an additional city, Purwokerto. We deliberately chose the organization in Purwokerto to accommodate the interest of participants in Central Java", Mark explained.
