SLEMAN - The number of university Cooperation is one indicator of the main component of the performance evaluation of Indonesian universities announced by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemristekdikti) every year.

Higher education cooperation indicators are in the main component of the assessment, namely institutional quality. This indicator is an additional indicator that applies to the 2019 assessment.

"Increasing the universities cooperation is expected to expand the networking that can improve the quality of universities in terms of institutions and human resources", said  the Head of the Foreign Cooperation Section, General Directorate of Institutional Kemristekdikti, Adhrial Refaddin in Technical Guidance for Increasing Cooperation in Higher Education about Governance Reporting for Higher Education Cooperation held at LLDikti of Region V Yogyakarta, Thursday (23/5).

As one of the indicators of assessment, Adrial said that universities can report every cooperation with domestic and foreign partners. For this reason, his party has built a collaborative application that can be accessed by public and private universities, namely laporankerma.ristekdikti.go.id.

"We have built this application since January 2016 and most universities have used it now", he explained.

Adrial explained that inputting data in this application is very easy. The universities only need to input the university data, implementers of partnerships, names of partners, forms of cooperation, coperation partners, and term of cooperation and implementation reports.

From the data uploaded by the universities in the applications developed by Kemristekdikti, there were 45,186 documents of cooperation with domestic partners. Meanwhile, the number of foreign partners is various based on partner countries.

On the previous occasion, the Head of the Higher Education Service Institution (Lldikti) Yogyakarta Region, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, S.E, M.Com, Akt., expressed his hope that all universities in the Yogyakarta area could take advantage of the application.

This application, according to him, is very useful for universities so that the cooperation data can be well inventoryed. It is because it was difficult for him so far to collect the reports on the progress of cooperation from universities in his region. There are 4 PTNs and 41 of the 103 private universities have used the application in Yogyakarta. (wwj / PR)
