SLEMAN – The Chancellor, Dr. M Irhas Effendi, together with about a thousand people consisting of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta academic community (UPNVY) and general congregation attended the activities of the Great Dhikr held in WR Supratman Auditorium, UPNVY Condongcatur Campus.

The activity in the form of Al Qur'an recitation and tadarus, according to the Chancellor, is a routine agenda of UPNVY since 2012, which is held annually in the month of Ramadan.

"Aside from being a means of worship, this activity is expected to build communication between the community and the general public”, the Chancellor explained.

The activity held on Saturday (25/5) began with tarawih, elkhis hadroh by Nailul Ula Islamic Boarding School, Ploso Kuning, Ngaglik, Sleman. Then, it was followed by a joint prayer led by Habib H. Faizal bin Musayeh Baroqbah. The first day's activity ended with the mujahadah Dzikrul Ghofillin with KH. Misbachul Munir

On the second day of Sunday (26/5), it began with the tadzarus of the Qur'an after Fajr prayers and then it continued with Dzikir Ghofilin after the together breaking fasting. Then, the event continued with the Khatam Al-Qur'an and ended with a prayer. (wwj / PR)
