SLEMAN – The Chancellor of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY), M. Irhas Effendi presided over the ceremony to commemorate the anniversary of Pancasila which took place in the Condongcatur Campus ceremony field. In the ceremony, the Chancellor read the speech of the Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) in commemoration of the birth of Pancasila on June 1, 2019.

In his remarks, the Head of BPIP reminded that Pancasila is the basis of the state, the ideology of the state and the view of the nation as a gift from God to the Indonesian people.

"Even though we as a nation are still not perfectly successful in realizing Pancasila values, we acknowledge that the existence of Indonesian as a nation and as a state can still survive until now, thanks to the Pancasila", said Irhas to the ceremony participants, Saturday (1/6).

Thanks to the Pancasila, which is in line with the values ??of inclusiveness, tolerance and mutual cooperation, there is a blessing. The blessing of the Pancasila as the guiding star for the diversity can be woven into a national identity in a container and the slogan "Unity in Diversity".

The head of BPIP through the speech read by the Chancellor conveyed the message of President Jokowi that commemorating and celebrating the day of the birth of Pancasila every June 1 is a necessity.

"First we try to remember and reflect on the historical momentum where the founding fathers succeeded in exploring the fundamental values ??of the Indonesian nation as the foundation of the country so that the religious archipelago could unite as a nation."

Second, by commemorating Pancasila, we build togetherness and hope to welcome a better life of nation and state. Pancasila as "dynamic leitstars", guiding stars that contain the vision and mission of the country that provides orientation, direction of struggle and future national development. As the nation's positive energy, Pancasila continues to provide hope for the future, especially in realizing the vision and mission of the Indonesian people.

The Chairman of BPIP said that as an inclusive and non-inclusive nation-state, dialectical management of cultural and political units is needed. That means that the diversity that exists naturally and culturally must be managed and developed to build "Tamansari Kebudayaan" which allows all living things to grow in accordance with a healthy ecosystem. Indonesia is for all of us and Pancasila is our home.

"For this reason, the awareness and understanding are needed for the mutual respect, mutual cooperation, and mutual cooperation in solving the existing problems. This condition can develop through a democratic citizenship political culture", said Irhas.

The political culture raises fear. We are Indonesia. We are Pancasila who are persons who are confident, optimistic and hopeful in looking at the future as an advanced, just and prosperous nation.

Through his remarks, the Chairman of BPIP reminded that a commemoration of Pancasila on June 1, 2019 is a source of inspiration for "political hope" in the life of the nation and state.

"We all have to continually consistently realize Pancasila as the foundation of the state, the ideology of the state and a worldview that can bring progress and happiness to the entire Indonesian nation. We are united in building the nation to realize the realm of people's lives that are harmonious, peaceful, just in prosperity and prosperous in justice. We are Indonesia, we are Pancasila", concluded the Chancellor reading the remarks.
