SLEMAN - Although Eid Al-Fitr has passed, its celebration is still felt today. A number of parties held halal bihalal (a kind of gathering to ask for forgiveness) to bond relations with each other. Universitas Pembangunan Nasional ‘Veteran’ Yogyakarta (UPNVY) did it. UPNVY held it on Monday (10/6/2019). On the first day of work, all employees at UPNVY gathered to bond relationship of their brotherhood.

There is something special about Eid this time. The reason is that the Pancasila commemoration is close to the celebration of Eid Al-Fitr. Therefore, UPNVY held halal bihalal with the theme "Spiritual Quality Improvement of Employees through the Understanding and Practicing Pancasila Values ??for the Nation and State Stability".

"This Halal bihalal (Eid al-Fitr 2019) seems different from halal bihalal in previous years," said the Chancellor of UPNVY, Mohamad Irhas Efendi, in his remarks.

He revealed that Pancasila was not just read and revealed during the ceremony. Yet, it is also a reminder to the community that they are Indonesian citizens. It has become an agreement that Pancasila is the ideology of Indonesian.

"Unfortunately, in the practice, we forget to apply the values ??of Pancasila in daily life. We often blame others, claim that we are the most right, berate others in which it is contradictory to the values ??of Pancasila”, he said.

He also mentioned the matter of the General Election (Election) in Indonesia which was held on April 17, 2019. He did not turn a blind eye to the question of the differences in choices between one another. Even some people feel that the choices they supported are the most correct ones.

For this reason, it is extraordinary that people in this Eid Al-Fitr are sincere and humble to admit their mistakes and apologize to each other. He also did not deny that humans as social beings in their relationship certainly had made mistakes.

"It is ot only shaking hands to apologize, but it is also being followed by praying for one another and loving each other and forgiving each other," he said.

He also hopes that the community can apply the values ??of Pancasila in their daily lives in the future. The person who was in charge of this bihalal halal activities admitted that he intentionally linked the celebration this time with the Pancasila commemoration.

"It is because there are many things that lead to something outside Pancasila nowadays in which the stability of the state and the nation is sometimes considered shaky at the end," said Wisnu Hadi, the person whowas in charge of the UPNVY Bihalal Halal Activities.
