UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta under the leadership of the Rector, Prof. Dr. Sari Bahagiarti K. Msc, greatly hopes that it will increase the number of its professors (senior lecturers) at UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta. One of the efforts to achieve the purpose is by inviting an expert in scientific writing to UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, apart from the several workshops on scientific writing in so far conducted.

Dr. Ir. Rr. Rukmowati Brotojoyo, from the KUI of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, along with the Professorship Acceleration in UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, Dr. Singgih Saptono, MT, Dr. Dian Indri Purnamasari, Dr. Herlina Jayadianti, Dr. Partoyo, Dr. Awang Hedrianto, Oliver Simanjuntak Msc, Hari Kusuma N., Se., Ak., M. Acc and Umiyatun Choiriah, MT tried to make that dream come true. Through the offer from the Senior Experten Service (SES) in cooperation with UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta the hope of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta was finally materialized on March 20th, 2017. SES is a German non-profit organization accommodating retired German experts to share their knowledge worldwide. Fortunately, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta had the chance or the first time to receive the visit of a professor from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities II, Department of English and American Studies Institut für Anglistik und Amerikanistik.

The arrival of Prof. Volker Raddatz, on Monday, March 20th, 2017 was cordially welcome by the Rector of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, Professor Dr. Sari Bahagiarti K, Dr. Drs. Susanta, M., Si, Deputy Rector commissioning General Affairs and Financial Affairs.It was planned that Professor Volker Raddatz would be at UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta to teach scientific writing from March 20th, 2017 until April 6th, 2017. Professor Volker Raddatz would be in the State-defense campus for 3 weeks to give lectures on scientific writing to all lecturers in the faculties existing at UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, including the Faculties of Agriculture, Social Sciences (Humanities) and Politics and Industrial Engineering. Each faculty was expected to receive face-to-face meeting sessions. Prof. Volker Raddatz has great passion and substantial experience in authorship, which is expected to create positive influences and motivation aimed at increasing the quantity of publication at UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta.
