Solopos.com, SLEMAN - The Village Innovation Implementation Team (TPID) of Turi District, Sleman, DIY, in collaboration with Universitas Pembangunan Nasional (UPN) Veteran Yogyakarta held a discussion entitled Replication of Village Innovation, Thursday (29/08/2019). The discussion focused on the usage of the refugee barracks as a multifunctional means to develop the Village Information System (SID).

It discussed the usage of the shelter as a sports hall and the importance of building SID with adequate data houses for all of the village governance needs in the region. The Chairperson of TPID Turi as well as the committee, Suharman, said that the activity was a good start.

"This activity is a good start for realizing an independent village government. Internet technology makes everything fast-paced and data-based. I think, the village must also adjust this situation. It is manifested in the preparation of village work programs that must be innovative and can apply the internet technology", he explained in a press release received by Solopos.com, Friday (8/30/2019).

The SID introduction event which was originally developed by Aisyiyah University (Unisa) Yogyakarta was attended by the representatives of officials in the Turi District. The head of Turi Banking Economics Section (Kasi Ekobank), Rahmat, said that the project was in line with the big program of the Sleman Regency, namely Sleman Smart Regency City.

"Evidently, from the SID in Girikerto, there were finally three other villages [Donokerto, Wonokerto, and Bangunkerto] which were also interested in providing assistance related to SID. We hope that after this SID is realized, the village government will be more aspirational, innovative and creative in developing work programs," explained Grace.

The discussion was attended by speakers who understood the SID, namely the lecturers team of Public Relations Study Programof UPN Veterans Yogyakarta, Medi Trilaksono Dwi Abadi, Muhammad Fauzul Haq, and Virginia Ayu Sagita. The speakers explained that the current challenge for the government is to create a transparent and accountable system in a digital context.

It is done by building synergies between academics, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo), and the community empowerment agency in supervisingthe village governments to develop SID for the realization of a governmental system that applies industrial technology 4.0.
