SLEMAN - IT expert, Professor Marsudi Wahyu Kisworo, revealed the importance of the state's vigilance towards cyber terrorism in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Marsudi revealed it when he was the speaker of the National Seminar with the theme "Digital Terrorism :  Indonesia's Strategy and Action to Combat Cyber ??Terrorism in the 4th Industrial Revolution Era", in the Seminar Room of UPN "Veteran" FISIP Yogyakarta. Thursday (12/09/2019) .

Massudi explained it because the progress of digital technology in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 was extraordinary, both from the system to the infrastructure.

"In the era of the industrial revolution, there is a demand for the development of state infrastructure and computer-based public facilities such as in the banking system, e-commerce, e-government, and others for the progress of the nation. However, the technology-based sophistication and electronic information has potencies of being very vulnerable that the criminal parties can use it for their actions”, said Marsudi.

Marsudi continued, if we don’t pay attention on the crime of terrorism, the comprehensive sabotage can occur against Indonesia's digital systems and infrastructure.

The sophistication of technology and information provides opportunities and space for the terrorists to use the cyber world as a means of recruiting, communicating and spreading radical ideas that are usually done by spreading propaganda to indoctrinate people by teaching extremism.

"It is possible they do things that can threaten the stability and security of a country, such as sabotage or even espionage", said the Independent Commissioner of PT. Telkom Indonesia, Tbk.

According to Marsudi, the anticipation must be prepared so that cyber crime does not occur. He considered that a solution is needed to prevent this from happening, namely by issuing the Law on Cyber ??Crisis.

The Cyber ??Crisis Emergency Law must be realized before 2022. Marsudi predicted the industrial revolution 4.0 will be comprehensive in that year.

"Indonesia, which has a majority of cyber backgrounds and has entered the 5G network, the law must already exist in 2022. At least, at the end of 2022", added Marsudi.

Marsudi ensures that the presence of the Cyber ??Crisis Emergency Law would not cause any harm to Indonesia. Marsudi views that the Cyber ??Crisis Emergency Law will help Indonesia to avoid the crime of terrorism.
