SLEMAN - Having 58 national and international scientific works as well as a myriad of achievements led Arhananta to take the first place in the Scholarly Award at the graduation ceremony held by UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY), Saturday (12/10).
This Geology Engineering student who now holds the Bachelor's degree in Engineering was noted to be the 1st winner of the GAIA Analysis Project in 2018 and in 2019, the 2nd winner of the Geodefest Paper Competition 2018, the winner of PERHIMAGI's Favorite Science Annual Poster in 2019, the 1st winner of the OGIP Place Plant of Development 2019, and he won a number of other championships.
In between his busy activities as a student, he underwent activities as an assistant in the Structure Geology lab, the head of the Geology Engineering Student Association division, being active in various seminars and committees.
For his achievement, he received a total score of 2284. Together with 14 other graduates from various Arhananta majors advancing on the stage received awards from the UPNVY Rector.
Arhananta also graduated with a grade point average of 3.57 and a study period of 4 years 1 month.
"This is a pride that I can give to my parents who have supported me all this time", he said in the graduation.
When he received the award, he was accompanied by both parents. Uniquely the father, Sukirno wore a colorful clown hat.
The clown hat worn by the father is not without reason. Arhananta explained that the father's job was to entertain children. His father works as a clown.
"My father is an artist; being a clown, playing music and even a puppeteer. He is versatile and can even build a house”, said a man born in Bojonegoro, June 16, 1997.
Arhananta said that as an artist, the father educated him in a democratic way. The father gives all decisions in the hands of his child.
"My father never says no, he always allows me to have whatever I wan”, said the only child of the couple Sukirno and Faizatul Laily.
Despite being an artist's child, Arhananta doesn’t have the soul of art in his blood. He claimed not to master musical instruments or artistic talent.
"My hobbies are traveling, culinary and videography, there are no arts."
After graduating from college, he plans to go straight to work. He admits that he had been accepted at one of the national companies engaged in mining.
"The desire to get a Master Degree is still there. I want to make a lot of papers in the field of geology and develop a hobby of videography", concluded Arhananta, who has a YouTube video geology account. (wwj / PR)
