SLEMAN - Geophysical Engineering Study Program UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) got an accreditation grade of A from BAN-PT. The accreditation assessment was based on BAN-PT Decree No. 3879 / SK / BAN-PT / Akred / S / X / 2019 signed by the Executive Board Director, Prof. T. Basarudin on October 15, 2019.

"This is a proud achievement for the academic community in the Geophysical Engineering Study Program, in the Faculties and University”, said Suharsono, the Dean of the Faculty of Mineral Technology.

Previously, the Geophysical Engineering Study Program conducted a field assessment process on 8 - 9 October. In the assessment, two BAN-PT assessors namely Dr. Eng. Ir. Muhammad Ramli, MT (Hasanuddin University) and Dr. Agus Muhammad Hatta, S, M.Sc, Ph.D (Institute of Technology, November 10) gave an assessment.

Geophysical Engineering Study Program is one of the majors under the Faculty of Mineral Technology which was established under the permission of the Director General of Higher Education No 479 / D / T / 2003 dated March 13, 2003. The extension of the next Department permission was on February 20, 2013 based on the permission of the General Director of Higher Education No 14678 / D / T / KV / 2013 to get formal legal requirements from BAN PT.

This study program applied for the accreditation from BAN PT in 2009. Based on the decision of BAN PT No: 483 / SK / BAN-PT / Akred / S / XII / 2014 regarding its status, rank, and results of accreditation, the Department of Geophysics Engineering received a B rating.
