Responding to this condition, the Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional 'Veteran' Yogyakarta in collaboration with the Research Synergy Foundation (RSF) and STIE Trisna Negara held an International Conference of Business, Economy, Entrepreneurship and Management (ICBEEM) in Yogyakarta on 9-10 October 2019.

Being held in Ambarukmo Hotel Yogyakarta, this activity was an event for academics, researchers, practitioners to uncover, predict, share knowledge of the latest business developments, innovations, and entrepreneurship.

"The purpose of this conference is to increase the international publications for Indonesian researchers generally and UPNVYK in particular", said the Synergy Research Foundation, Dr. Hendrati Dwi Mulyaningsih, through a press release on Thursday (10/10).

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Management Department of FEB UPN who was also the Chair of the ICBEEM 2019, Dr. Dyah Sugandini, said that this event also explored more detail and depth the fields of economics, business and management.

The scientific fields that were the focus of ICBEEM were innovation, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, operations management, human resources, accounting, Islamic economics, banking, business and other management.

According to Dyah, a number of reliable speakers attended this event. For example, Professor Ainun Naim was the former Vice Rector 2 of UGM in the fields of HR, Finance and Infrastructure of UGM. He currently serves as a General Secretary of Kemenristekdikti. Then, there was Professor Datuk Dr. Izaidin bin Abdul Majid from Malaysia Melaka Technical University. He is a professor in Business and Management.

The International Conference and Call for Paper were attended by academics from universities, researchers, practitioners from various countries. There were 96 papers that were presented and reviewed in the event for one day. ICBEEM was expected to improve the performance of higher education academics in an effort to improve the quality of academics.

"This international conference will also produce proceedings to be issued by Scitepress Publishers from Portugal as a bridge for the dissemination of articles to the world and then will be submitted to the reputable indexing institution Scopus", he said.
