Sleman_UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) patented three results of lecturer creativity research. Three lecturers from UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta who won patents are Dr. Ir. M. Nurcholis, M.Agr, Dra Sri Kusujaniatun, M.Sc, Dr. and Ir. Rr. Rukmowati Brotojojo, M. Agr. The granting of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) certificates was given on the sidelines of the 5th National Seminar on the theme "Call Paper and Exhibition of Research Results for Community Service Ministry of Research and Technology Republic of Indonesia", which was held by the Research and Community Service Institute of UPN "Veterans" Yogyakarta, at the Grand Quality Hotel, Wednesday 10/16/2019.
The Head the Center for Intellectual Property Rights and Publication of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta Ir. Ari Wijayani, MP said that the Center for IPR Wimayaristek UPN "Veterans" Yogyakarta has been established since 2012. In addition, the IPR Wimayaristek Sentra Center UPN"Veterans" Yogyakarta has also facilitated many Intellectual Property Rights products such as trademarks for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of 2,500 brands, about 200 Copyrights, and 25 industrial designs.
The Head of the Center for Intellectual Property Rights and Publications added that the Intellectual Property Rights Center of UPNVY has cooperated with various outside parties including the Creative Economy Agency (BEKRAF), the General Directorate of Intellectual Property (DJKI), the Association of KI Centers throughout Indonesia and the Ministry of Rural Development Areas.
"Next month, there will be 3 more lecturers' research results which will be granted by UPNVY. They will be Dr. Susila Herlambang, Dr. Purwanto and Ir. Heti Herastuti”.
IPR Wimayaristek Sentra Center UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta has still been a national administrator on the Intellectual Property Rights. The research on IPR continues to be carried out. At the end of 2019, there will researches conducted on the regional superior products that have the potencies to be registered in geographical indications. The area asking for the help is Sumbawa Besar which has coffee products", said the Head of the Center for Intellectual Property Rights and Publications.
On the same occasion, Ir. Ari Wijayani, MP explained the data of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta lecturers who won the first IPR in 2019, namely Dr. Ir. Nurcholis, M.Agr, recipient of a research grant on a Higher Education Excellence Scheme (PUPT) in 2016-2018, with the title "Optimization of New Renewable Energy in Mining Waste Land based on Bioethanol Development from Sorgum Manis at the Gold Mine, Imogiri Sukoharjo in Central Java". This research consists of 4 members, namely Ikrar Adilla, Henri Krisnawan, Tri Wibawa and Achmad Ridwan Rifai. The Research Products of Dr. Ir. Nurcholis, M.Agr who was patented was entitled "Horizontal Sorghum Horizontal Rod Press with a registration period of patent registration until granted for 1 year and 3 months.
Second, Dra. Sri Kusujaniatun, M.Sc, recipient of a research grant with a Higher Education Excellence Research (PUPT) scheme in 2016-2017, with the title "Strategy for Developing Teak Root Tourism Area in the Cretaceous Bekraf in Bojonegoro. This research has the members, namely Teguh Kismantoroadji. Dra. Sri Kusujaniatun, M.Si has a research product which was patented which entitled "Knife for Forming and Refining Teak Root Crafts" with a patent processing period of 1 year and 8 months.
Third, Dr. Ir. Rr. Rukmowati Brotojojo, M.Agr, recipient of a research grant with the Flagship Research Scheme (PUPT) 2016-2017, with the title of "Improving the Performance of Organic Fertilizers to Overcome Pest Attacks and Funds to Increase Crop Results in Organic Agriculture". This research has the members, namely Dyah Arbiwati. Dra. Sri Kusujaniatun, M.Si has a research product which was patented which entitled "The Process of Making Compass Based Organic Granule Fertilizer" with a patent processing period of 1 year 7 months.
