UPN Lecturer Trains UKM in Bantul to Market the processed products of Garut via Online :: dipost pada 01 November 2019

Harianjogja.com, BANTUL - A number of UPNVY Yogyakarta (UPNVY) lecturers held a community service program in the form of counseling to increase the productivity of garut sold  through the web, in Pajangan, Bantul. This program is a series of Community Service (PbM), as a grant program from UPN Veterans Yogyakarta. This PBM activity was carried out by Danang Yudhiantoro, Rifki Indra Perwira and chaired by Endah Wahyurini.

The counseling in collaboration with SM UKM Lancar Rejeki, Kadireso Hamlet, Triwidadi, Pajangan, Bantul involved several lecturers of UPN Veterans Yogyakarta. Several materials were presented at the same time. The material presented on the optimization of the cultivation, product packaging and marketing through the website. "Good packaging has its own charm," said UPN Veteran Yogyakarta Lecturer Danang Yudhiantoro, on Tuesday (10/29/2019).

For this reason, he motivated the participants to pursue the packaging and online marketing methods for the personnel development as well as developing a website that became a means for processed e-commerce of Garut’s products that was being developed by the UPN Veteran Yogyakarta Community Service Team.

The participants are given counseling, mentoring to collect facts and filling in the website pages about various activities and information on Garut’s products that will appear on the page http://garutkadireso.com.

The Chairman of UKM Lancar Rejeki Kadireso, Pajangan, Bantul Roimah, hopes that these participants will become active contributors and actors in developing the Yogyakarta Veterans UPN program. "So that our village's processed products can be known and accessed by all netizens as widely as possible. So far, we have difficulty in marketing and introducing Garut’s products," said Roimah.

The member of the Community Service Team, Rifki Indra Perwira, emphasized the importance of information technology in helping to market processed Garut’s products. In addition to the website, many tools can be used as online marketing media.

"The potency possessed by Kadireso Hamlet is a product that can be offered to the wider community. Like goods produced by factories, the villages can also market it through creative ways," he said. (*)
