SLEMAN - APPRECIATION Night was successfully carried out by the UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta students (UPNVY) closing theReaction event series 2019. The APPRECIATION which stands for Acara Puncak Realisasi Reaksi (the Reaction Realization highlight event) was a night of appreciation for the finalists and champions at the  Reaction competition 2019held at the Societed Building of Cultural Park Yogyakarta, Saturday (10/26).

The reaction itself is a competition in the field of Communication Studies for students in Central Java & DIY. The Reaction chose the theme "Quality of Identity" this second year which raised the issue of the fading of Indonesia's cultural identity today.

Followed by 95 students, the Reaction was divided into 4 sub-contests namely public relations, journalism, advertising, and broadcasting.

"I hope that with this reaction, we will be able to increase the awareness of cultural values ??that are increasingly faded, especially among millennials", said Ricky Arista as the chairman of the Reaction Committee 2019.

According to him, Reaction is not just a race. The reaction tries to preserve the cultural values ??through various contested fields of communication that are shown to strengthen the cultural identity.
