UPNVY Lecturer Develops Tourism Potential :: dipost pada 06 November 2019

Harianjogja.com, BANTUL — A number of lecturers from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional UPN Veteran Yogyakarta (UPNVY) supported the development of tourism vilaage in Srimartani Village, Piyungan District, Bantul.

The support provided in the series of community service was realized through the training and assistance that was held on Sunday (11/03/2019). Some UPNVY lecturers involved in the activity were Hastho Joko Nur Utomo, Eny Endah Pujiastuti, and Heru Cahya Rustamaji.

Eny Endah Pujiastuti explained that the tourism potential management training activities of Srimartani Village h took place for a full day starting at 09.00 until 14.00 WIB. The training aimed to provide insight and discussion space related to plans to make Srimartani village be one of the tourist destinations. "A lot of tourism potenciesl that can be developed in this village. We provide training related to the management and marketing strategies”, s he said through a release received by Harianjogja.com, Tuesday (11/05/2019).

Heru Cahya Rustamaji added that in the current technological era, tourism village marketing should be directed more towards digital so that the various tourism potencies in Srimartani can be known by the wider community.

He hopes that the tourists who are from outside the area will be curious and then come to visit. At least 30 people with an interest in the management of Srimartani tourism village attended the event. "We provide some tips and techniques for tourism promotion via the Internet to the residents and managers. In this series of activities, a comparative study was also conducted to Pring Ledok Tinjon, a culinary tourism destination under a bamboo tree, and the river bank", he said.

The Head of Srimartani Village, Mulyana welcomed the activity. He gave some input related to village regulations (perdes) regarding the use of village treasury land and also the matter of village tourism. Besides, the determining the location of attractions is are synchronized with the Bappeda master plan. "Many tourism potencies in Srimartani village can be used for tourism villages", he said
