Suara.com - Commemorating the Heroes' Day on November 10, the Museum Management Board of Jogja Kembali Museum (Monjali) raised a giant flag of 24 x 18 meters (423 meters). The memorial had violin attractions hanging on the conical walls of Monjali.
Nanang Dwinarto, the chairman of the organizing committee, said that the event was attended by dozens of participants from MTS 6 Sleman students, AMTA, the rock climbing team Mapala UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, Mapala Galaxi of University of Proclamation, employees and a number of young violinists.
The activity is also a reminder to the public about the hero's struggle to drive out the invaders.
"This Monjali is a monument of struggle. Of course our mission and enthusiasm here is to appreciate the services of the heroes. On the occasion of the Heroes' Day on November 10, we showed it with a flag ceremony, stretching a giant flag and also hanging violin attractions", Nanang told SuaraJogja.id, Sunday (11/10/2019).
In the commemoration, a child named Goldy Hutabarat also performed a heroic act accompanying Indonesia Raya song and some accompaniment songs on the conical wall of Monjali. It showed to the young people that the struggle of the heroes for independence is not easy.
"There is something we want to convey by showing this hanging violin attraction by Goldy. Previously WR Suprataman also struggled while creating the Indonesia Raya song with his violin", he said.
"So, Youngers must continue to be enthusiastic and not easily give up in achieving their goals. It means that this young violinist brings a message to others to keep on fighting", added Nanang who is also the Head of Operations at Monjali Museum in Yogyakarta.
In addition, the activity was also carried out a moment of silence for 60 seconds at 08.15, according to the direction of the Ministry of Social Affairs.
The commemoration that was struck at 08.00-09.00 WIB was also witnessed by a number of visitors in Monjali. Many visitors who captured themselves set against a giant flag measuring 24 x 18 meters.
Nanang hopes that the spirit of struggle that is maintained at the Monjali museum is a reminder to the community. Especially young people who are studying in DIY.
