SLEMAN - Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY) won the first place in the Equity Research Analysis event with the theme of "Now and Never" which was held on 5-7 November.

The competition on the ability of analysis and evaluation of the company's stock price is an annual event organized by Investor Club, Satya Wacana University, Salatiga.

This national level competition was participated by State Universities (PTN) and Private Universities (PTS) throughout Indonesia.

UPNVY sent a team of three accounting students. They were from Reza Pratama Nugraha, Muhammad Galanttama Mondira, and Syallomitha Tiara Kusuma (Accounting 2018). They presented the results of the stock analysis of a national company.

"This is our first experience in participating in a competition.  It is challenging and we didn't expect to get the 1st  place", said Reza, one of the team members.

In the future, said Reza, they will increase their experience in participating in similar competitions. It is hoped that through these achievements, it can increase the enthusiasm of other students to excel at national or international levels.

In this event the 2nd  place was won by Universitas Indonesia and 3rd  place was Atma Jaya University. (HK / FEB)
