Universitas Pembangunan Nasional (UPN) "Veterans" Yogyakarta is implementing an online re-registration for the participants who pass SNMPTN. This is in line with the Government's recommendation to keep distance and prevent crowds in the midst of the Corona virus pandemic or COVID-19.
The Head of Cooperation and Public Relations UPN 'Veterans' Yogyakarta, Markus Kusnardijanto, explained that the announcement of participants who passed SNMPTN would most likely on April 8, 2020. The re-registration process will take place online.
"SNMPTN re-registration will be done all online; it currently still in the process of making the re-registration of SNMPTN UPN 'Veterans' Yogyakarta", Markus said through a short message to detikcom, Monday (6/4/2020).
After SNMPTN re-registration is complete, it will be immediately announced on UPN 'Veteran' Yogyakarta website, Instragram and UPN 'Veteran' Yogyakarta New Student Admission (PMB) page. He said that the re-registration might take place next month.
"SNMPTN re-registration is on 6-8 May 2020. After May 8, if there is no re-registration, it is considered resigning", he said.
Markus said that his party held an online re-registration for new students (freshmen) to reduce the crowd. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic is currently still ongoing.
"Moreover, as recommended by the government, we must keep distance and reduce the crowds," Markus said.
Markus added, the number of SNMPTN re-registrants at UPN reached thousands. It is because UPN 'Veterans' Yogyakarta receive 3,655 new students this year.
