Sleman - UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta prepares 13 rooms, 255 computers for 7,650 participants in the Computer-Based Test (UTBK) 2020 during the Covid pandemic - 19. The UTBK exam will be held on July 5 - 12, 2020. There will be 2 test locations used for UTBK at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, namely in Pattimura Building of Industrial Engineering Faculty of Babarsari Campus, and Economics and Business Faculty of Condongcatur Campus.
Dr. Suharsono, MT as the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs said that the Computer-Based Writing Examination (UTBK) was a mandatory requirement to study in various state universities throughout Indonesia through the Joint Admission Test for State Universities (SBMPTN). The Pandemic and Covid-19 emergency conditions changed the UTBK schedule, which was originally on April 20-26 2020 to July 5-12 2020, with registration starting June 2-20, 2020.
"UTBK will be 4 sessions in a day, except on Friday. There will only be 2 sessions (exams) on Friday. There will be 30 exam sessions in total. In addition, the UTBK implementation at the UPN" Veteran "Yogyakarta always and continually coordinates with the central LTMPT. Due to the conditions of this pandemic, the UTBK implementation still needs coordination between the Central Task Force and the Ministry of Education and Culture.
The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs added, to carry out the examination, the participants would later be required to follow the Covid-19 protocol specified in the "Document of the Implementation Protocol for the UTBK PTN Central Committee in the Covid-19 Pandemic Conditions".
Dr. Hendro Wijanarko, MS as the head of the admission of new students said that UPN "Veterans" Yogyakarta was ready to implement UTBK, in terms of facilities and infrastructure, by adjusting the health protocol. Various exam facilities such as computers and rooms began to be prepared according to the standards set by LTMPT.
Hendro added that UTBK participants must wear masks and gloves (if needed) and be sure to be in good health and get through the health protocol procedures and Covid-19 examinations conducted by the committee before entering the examination room. “In addition to the UTBK implementation, there are changes in the room arrangement because the distance between participants is limited. The capacity of the examination room is reduced by half so that the room that was previously 20 participants becomes 10 people per exam room, " added Hendro.
UPNVY which is preparing for the UTBK implementation in terms of facilities and infrastructure, it has also scheduled the dissemination of health protocols to all UTBK supervisors which involve lecturers and education personnel. "Not only participants, and supervisors or committees, we also socialize the Covid-19 health protocol to Security Officers and Employees in the campus environment so that all of them adhere to the standards set by the center (LTMPT)," he said.
