SLEMAN – The participants of Computer Based Writing (UTBK) – Joint State University Entrance Test (SBMPTN) 2020 follows the Covid-19 prevention protocol in an orderly manner when carrying out exams at the Pattimura Building, Faculty of Industrial Engineering, UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNVY), Sunday (Sunday) 5/7).
Wearing masks, they arrived around seven in the morning or two hours before the test began. Entering the test area, they were required to check the body temperature, wash their hands with soap, and keep their distance.
In addition to the masks, the participants also brought handscoons (gloves) and faceshiled. They also carried health certificates issued by the public health facilities.
"I have a mask, gloves and face shield during the test in accordance with the requirements requested. I also carry a hand snitizer,” said Anisa Khoriyah, a UTBK participant from Kebumen, Central Java when being met in the waiting room.
Even though she had to drive for about two hours from her home, this alumnus of Prembun High School 1 said that she still chose the central location of UTBK UPNVY.
"There is a city closer, but I have no brother there. I have a brother in Jogja,”she said.
Neither do Muhammada Rangga Adikusuma, the UTBK participant from Tegal, Central Java. He has arrived in Yogyakarta on Friday to prepare for the UTBK test.
"It so happened that my grandparents live in Yogyakarta, so I chose the test location here," said the alumnus of Tegal 1 Public High School.
The UTBK - SBMPTN test this time, he chose Petroleum Engineering Study Program of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta as the first choice and the City Planning Study Program at UGM as the second one.
Rangga claimed there was no special preparation for taking the test this time. He only studied questions on the internet.
"Hopefully I pass SBMPTN, but if I fails, I will try the independent selection of PTN,” he admitted.
There were 300 participants of UTBK test at UPNVY who took the test in session 1 which was at 9:30 - 11:15 WIB and in the afternoon session at 14.30 - 16.15 WIB.
"After the test in each session, all rooms and computers are cleaned with disinfectant liquid. Our officers have prepared everything,” said the Head of Cooperation and Public Relations of UPNVY, Markus Kusnardijanto, when being met at the exam location.
Markus added that the participants were required to wear long-sleeved cloths and obediently follow the rules of the Covid-19 prevention protocol. Inspectors and medical personnel also wear PPE.
This rule, said Mark, was in accordance to the recommendations of LTMPT, recommendations from the UPNVY Covid-19 Cluster, and the Sleman Regency Office.
"We want the participants and committees to return home healthy and there is no new Covid cluster” he said.
The UTBK test at UPNVY is held until Monday (7/13), with a total of around 2500 participants. (wwj / PR)
