Sleman - The Photography Student Activity Unit (UKM) of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNVY) held 14DAYSCHALLENGE. The purpose of this activity is to overcome boredom and maintain the organizational productivity of Photography UKM Sub Unit of UPNVY during New Normal.

Alfa as the chair person of the Photography Sub Unit stated that after three months of the community activities from home, they now begin to express their boredom. Even though the corona virus pandemic is not over, many people have begun to carry out activities like before the pandemic was endemic. In addition, the government has also made a New Normal policy, whereby the community is expected to adapt and coexist with the corona virus, without violating established health protocols. However, not a few people who still remain at home, because the corona virus cases are still growing and have not shown signs of a decrease in cases.

Alfa added that to overcome the boredom and maintain the organizational productivity, the Photography UKM sub-unit of  UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta took the initiative to hold # 14DAYSCHALLENGE. The concept of # 14DAYSCHALENGE itself is that participants are challenged to post one photo in a day with a predetermined theme. On the first day, the participants are challenged to post photos with the theme "What Makes You Smile", then the theme on the second day is "Bokeh", the third day is "Silhouette", the fourth day is "Shadow of Anything", the fifth day is "Clouds", the sixth day is "Random Thing", the seventh day is" In My Bag ", the eighth day is "Close Up", the ninth day is "Animal", the tenth day is "Family Member", the eleventh day is "Plant", the twelfth day is "B&W Random Things", the thirteenth day is "Blur Photo", and the photo theme for the last day is "Sky". The photos can be posted via Instagram Story by mentioning Instagram accounts @fotografiupnyk and @ukm_seni and including the hashtags # lightshoot14dayschallenge # day1, # day2, # day3, and so on which shows the photos challenges of the day.

"In the poster we made, there are provisions challenges for the participants to post photos each day. So, the participants must upload photos every day related to the provisions written as creatively as possible. Don't forget to also mention the Instagram account @fotografiupnyk and @ukm_seni, after that our Instagram account will repost the photo,” said Alfa, as the chairman of the photography sub unit.

He added that the #14DAYSCHALLENGE activity was held by the daily management of the photography sub-unit organization. "So, there is a division in our management called Content Planner whose job is to plan all online based activities during this pandemic. This division is actually called "R & D" or short for training and development. Yet, because of this limitation, we are unable to practice as usual and it requires us to make online activities via Instagram.

In implementing this Online Challenge, the participants can participate at any time. In this sense, there is no time limit that determines when participants must start and when participants can end it.
