Sleman - As many as 167 proposals sent by UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta students to the Student Creativity Program (PKM) 2020, Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, General Directorate of Higher Education and the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud).

Dr. Oliver C. Simanjuntak, M.Kom as the PKM student advisor stated that the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, General Directorate of Higher Education and the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud) had carried out Socialization Addendum for the Student Creativity Program (PKM) 2020 via the Zoom application and was also broadcast via the Higher Education Student Youtube account which was attended by representatives of all universities in Indonesia. The socialization was carried out in 2 stages, that was on 10 and 11 July 2020.

Oliver added that in the socialization, it was elaborated the transformation of PKM activities 2020 carried out online as well as the presentation of PKM proposal data in 2020 with a total of 75,191 proposed titles and 65,789 upload titles nationally. Whereas, UPN "Veterans" Yogyakarta has sent 167 proposals; that number has increased from the previous year which only sent about 140 proposals. Following up on the socialization of the PKM Addendum 2020, the PKM Center of UPN "Yogyakarta" has prepared several plans.

"Regarding the addendum, it is just distributing PPT from Belmawa now, the future plans will be around July 25 or 26 for online socialization through online meeting platforms, so that the information is clearer; after the funding announcement on August 1, there will be technical guidance regarding the implementation of PKM conducted on 10 August to 30 September until heading to the 33rd  Pimnas held 24 October,” said Oliver.

 In addition to following up the implementation of PKM 2020 which is carried out online, UPNVYK PKM Center is ready to welcome the implementation of PKM 2021 next year. "Apart from the continuation of PKM 2020, the PKM Center has also designed PKM 2021. Therefore, we can be ready for a series of socialization of PKM 2021 between the implementation of PKM and the Pimnas event 2020," he explained.

Aan Munandar as a student when he won Pimnas-32 stated that the system change in PKM which was previously offline to be online is not a problem for me, in fact, this difference makes students who take PKM and be qualified for funding have a great opportunity to be more creative in innovating, it is hoped that the innovation from students can be useful in the future for improving the order of life after a pandemic.
