Sleman_ The Ministry of Education and Culture through the education financing service center provides fee assistance of UKT / SPP for the academic year of 2020 to UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta students (UPNVY). It is given to the students of semester 3, 5 and 7 of 2020/2021 whose parents are affected by Covid-19. The students of semester 3, 5 and 7 of 2020/2021 whose parents are affected by Covid-19 can apply for the assistance of UKT / SPP 2020 to their respective faculties from July 8 to July 24, 2020.

Drs. Mursito MM, as the Head of Student Affairs stated that the fee assistance was based on a letter from the education financing service center No.0622 / 15 / Bp / 2020 regarding to the UKT / SPP assistance 2020 on July 3, which mentioned the quota for the KIP Lecture and UKT / SPP assistance 2020 from the Education Financing Service Center, General Secretariat of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

"It gives 2,400,000 rupiah to each participant who is qualified to submit a request for assistance. The assistance will be given once during the odd semester of 2020/2021," explained the Head of Student Affairs.

Mursito added that there were 803 quotas of assistance given from the Ministry of Education and Culture to UPNVY students of semester 3, 5 and 7. Each faculty has 161 assistance quotas for students whose parents are affected by the financial condition of Covid-19. The participants who apply for the assistance must be proven with the parent’s salary slip or gross income of a maximum of 4,000,000 rupiah which is ruled by the village government along with a statement that the parents / guardians / underwriters of tuition fees are experiencing financial constraints due to Covid 19 impact with 6,000 rupiah stamp.

 He adds that the system of submitting the UKT / SPP 2020 Assistance is collecting it to the department level which is assisted by student associations, then it is forwarded to the faculties for the selection in accordance with the provisions, and the end of the selection it is given to the Head of Student Affairs UPN "Veteran "Yogyakarta to be followed. The selection is carried out by the ranks of the faculties with the heads of departments in each of their faculties, so that the determination of students who are entitled to receive assistance can be carried out effectively, efficiently, and right on target because it is done at a smaller level.
