UPNVY Invites Academics to be Discipline in the Covid-19 Protocol :: dipost pada 06 Oktober 2020

SLEMAN - UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNVY) COVID-19 Task Force Team together with the Directorate of Health Promotion and Community Empowerment, the Ministry of Health invites academics to implement the discipline of health protocols as an effort to reduce the spread rate of COVID-19.

UPNVY Chancellor, Mohamad Irhas Effendi, at the "Socialization of Adaptation of New Habits in the Context of Preventing Covid19 Transmission in the Campus Environment" via zoom meeting, Tuesday (6/10) said that the academics must give an education contribution on the application of health protocol discipline to the public.

"Massive socialization and promotion regarding to the prevention of Covid-19 still needs to be done. As a campus that is founded by veteran freedom fighters, UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta also feels obliged and has a big role to play the Covid-19 campaign in society and the academic community," spoke the Chancellor to the representatives of universities in Yogyakarta.

Furthermore, the Chancellor said, UPNVY through the Disaster Management Study Center formed a Covid-19 Prevention Task Force Team in the UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta environment. This team carried out an online learning support program, support for basic needs, support for capacity building for health service units, and support for increasing village resilience - Covid-19 response partners.

On this occasion, the Chancellor committed that UPNVY could become a "Covid-19 Alert Campus" and become a pioneer in obeying the health protocols and preventing the spread of COVID-19.

The socialization event which took place from 13.00 - 15.00 WIB presented two speakers, namely the the Chairperson of UPNVY Covid-19 Task Force Team, Dr Eko Teguh Paripurno and Prof. Yayi Suryo Prabandari from Gadjah Mada University.
