SLEMAN - UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNVY) responded quickly to the news that one of the lecturers had died at the Academic Hospital of Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and was buried in a special Covid-19 cemetery in Madurejo, Prambanan, Sleman. The response was by temporarily closing one of the buildings in the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Campus 2, Babarsari, Sleman since Monday (12/10/2020).
"While we are temporarily closed for sterilization, we has sprayed disinfectant on everything since Monday," explained the Head of Subdivision of Cooperation and Public Relations, Makus Kusnardijanto, Wednesday (14/10/2020).
Markus explained that the lecturer died on October 13, 2020. Previously, the lecturer had taught, but online. The lecturer had been treated at the RSA UGM since October 6, 2020.
Marcus explained that there was no detailed information about when the lecturer was confirmed positive for the Corona virus. Until now, his party is still waiting for confirmation from the Covid-19 Task Force regarding the truth of the news.
"From the RSA Covid Group UGM contacted our Task Force clarifying whether the deceased was really a UPN employee," he said.
From this communication, it was not informed whether the lecturer was positive for Covid. However, his party immediately took anticipatory steps.
