Sleman- Sinta Nur Senja, along with Indah Putri Wahyuni, Salsabila Safia Dyaninta, Akmal Baihaqi, and Muhammad Hanif Ardiyan, students of the Industrial Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Industrial Engineering, UPNVY supervised by Ismianti, ST, M.Sc, successfully passed the 33rd PIMNAS 2020 stage. PIMNAS 2020 was held online through Zoom and livestream via Youtube of PUSPRENAS (National Achievement Center) on 24-29 November 2020. Competing in the PKM-M (Student Creativity Week-Community Service Week) category, the PKM title they carried is "Utilization of Plastic Bottles Waste for Pipe Glue in Sukunan Village, Sleman, Yogyakarta”. The program of utilizing plastic bottle waste into pipe glue at Sukunan Village Waste Bank aims to help reduce plastic bottle waste so that the non-biodegradable waste has added value by being pipe glue.

Sinta Nur Senja as the head of the Libola (Plastic Bottle Waste) team explained that the selection of partners in Sukunan Village was not without reason. People in Sukunan Village are among those who are aware of waste management. Based on their concern about the environmental problems caused by poor waste management, the people of Sukunan Village have initiated the integration of community waste management through a waste bank system that has been established since 2016. The Sukunan Village Waste Bank is one of the environmental managers as well as a tourist village in Yogyakarta. Apart from benefiting from the aspect of cleanliness and environmental health, the waste management system implemented by the community generates various other benefits, such as making compost from processed organic waste, income from selling inorganic waste to collectors, to economical waste craft products. All of the achievements made by the community have made Sukunan Village transformed into a tourist village, even as a waste management-based tourism village role model for other villages. Being a tourist village, the management of Sukunan Village also has visit packages to stay packages with various facilities, but waste management in Sukunan Village is not without gaps. Some of the waste that has been sorted cannot be optimally allocated. This can lead to accumulation of garbage in the waste bank and reduce the beauty of Sukunan Village. Departing from this phenomenon, the Libola Team comes up with their creative idea by utilizing plastic bottle waste to be an item of more useful value, namely as pipe glue.

Sinta added that the PKM activities carried out by the Libola team include field observations, preparation of management flow and manufacturing processes, coordination with the coordinators and administrators of the Bank Sampah Mandiri (Independent Waste Bank), online community socialization that is given because of the current conditions of being hit by the Covid-19 Pandemic, providing materials, and making pipe glue from a plastic bottle. The expected output or result is one of the provisions of a friendly environment from solid waste pollution in Sukunan Village area. Thus, the estuary of this program expects that Sukunan Village be able to be a pioneer and pilot village for other areas in the context of caring for the environment and providing an added value for goods that are no longer used. The results that have been achieved to date are based on indicators of success, namely socialization with the Management of the Waste Bank, making pipe glue with the management, and providing materials. The socialization of making pipe glue from plastic bottles has been carried out and addressed online via Zoom and the Whatsapp Group to the management of the Sukunan Village Waste Bank.
